| 3 Blessed are ont color=#208000>theont> poor in spirit: for ont color=#208000>theont>irs is ont color=#208000>theont> kingdom of heaven. |
| 4 Blessed are ont color=#208000>theont>y that mourn: for ont color=#208000>theont>y shall be comforted. |
| 5 Blessed are ont color=#208000>theont> meek: for ont color=#208000>theont>y shall inherit ont color=#208000>theont> earth. |
| 6 Blessed are ont color=#208000>theont>y which do hunger ont color=#208000>andont> thirst after righteousness: for ont color=#208000>theont>y shall be filled. |
| 7 Blessed are ont color=#208000>theont> merciful: for ont color=#208000>theont>y shall obtain mercy. |
| 8 Blessed are ont color=#208000>theont> pure in heart: for ont color=#208000>theont>y shall see God. |
| 9 Blessed are ont color=#208000>theont> peacemakers: for ont color=#208000>theont>y shall be called ont color=#208000>theont> children of God. |
| 10 Blessed are ont color=#208000>theont>y which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for ont color=#208000>theont>irs is ont color=#208000>theont> kingdom of heaven. |
| 11 Blessed are ye, when men shall ront color=#208000>evilont>e you, ont color=#208000>andont> persecute you, ont color=#208000>andont> shall say all manner of ont color=#208000>evilont> against you falsely, for my sake. |
| 12 Rejoice, ont color=#208000>andont> be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted ont color=#208000>theont>y ont color=#208000>theont> prophets which were before you. |
| 13 Ye are ont color=#208000>theont> salt of ont color=#208000>theont> earth: but if ont color=#208000>theont> salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is ont color=#208000>theont>nceforth good for nothing, but ont color=#208000>onont>t color=#208000>toont color=#208000>onont>t> be cast out, ont color=#208000>andont> ont color=#208000>onont>t color=#208000>toont color=#208000>onont>t> be trodden under foot of men. |

| 15 Neiont color=#208000>theont>r do men light a cont color=#208000>andont>le, ont color=#208000>andont> put it under a bushel, but ont color=#208000>onont> a cont color=#208000>andont>lestick; ont color=#208000>andont> it giveth light unont color=#208000>onont>t color=#208000>toont color=#208000>onont>t> all that are in ont color=#208000>theont> house. |
| 16 Let your light so shine before men, that ont color=#208000>theont>y may see your good works, ont color=#208000>andont> glorify your Faont color=#208000>theont>r which is in heaven. |
| 17 Think not that I am come ont color=#208000>onont>t color=#208000>toont color=#208000>onont>t> destroy ont color=#208000>theont> law, or ont color=#208000>theont> prophets: I am not come ont color=#208000>onont>t color=#208000>toont color=#208000>onont>t> destroy, but ont color=#208000>onont>t color=#208000>toont color=#208000>onont>t> fulfil. |
| 18 For verily I say unont color=#208000>onont>t color=#208000>toont color=#208000>onont>t> you, Till heaven ont color=#208000>andont> earth pass, ont color=#208000>onont>e jot or ont color=#208000>onont>e tittle shall in no wise pass from ont color=#208000>theont> law, till all be fulfilled. |
| 19 Whosoever ont color=#208000>theont>refore shall break ont color=#208000>onont>e of ont color=#208000>theont>se least commont color=#208000>andont>ments, ont color=#208000>andont> shall teach men so, he shall be called ont color=#208000>theont> least in ont color=#208000>theont> kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do ont color=#208000>andont> teach ont color=#208000>theont>m, ont color=#208000>theont> same shall be called great in ont color=#208000>theont> kingdom of heaven. |
| 20 For I say unont color=#208000>onont>t color=#208000>toont color=#208000>onont>t> you, That except your righteousness shall exceed ont color=#208000>theont> righteousness of ont color=#208000>theont> scribes ont color=#208000>andont> Phaont color=#208000>onont>t color=#208000>riseont color=#208000>onont>t>es, ye shall in no case enter inont color=#208000>onont>t color=#208000>toont color=#208000>onont>t> ont color=#208000>theont> kingdom of heaven. |
| 21 Ye have heard that it was said of ont color=#208000>theont>m of old time, Thou shalt not kill; ont color=#208000>andont> whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of ont color=#208000>theont> judgment: |
| 22 But I say unont color=#208000>onont>t color=#208000>toont color=#208000>onont>t> you, That whosoever is angry with his broont color=#208000>theont>r without a cause shall be in danger of ont color=#208000>theont> judgment: ont color=#208000>andont> whosoever shall say ont color=#208000>onont>t color=#208000>toont color=#208000>onont>t> his broont color=#208000>theont>r, Raca, shall be in danger of ont color=#208000>theont> council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. |
| 23 ont color=#208000>Theont>refore if thou bring thy gift ont color=#208000>onont>t color=#208000>toont color=#208000>onont>t> ont color=#208000>theont> altar, ont color=#208000>andont> ont color=#208000>theont>re rememberest that thy broont color=#208000>theont>r hath ought against ont color=#208000>theont>e; |
| 24 Leave ont color=#208000>theont>re thy gift before ont color=#208000>theont> altar, ont color=#208000>andont> go thy way; first be recont color=#208000>onont>ciled ont color=#208000>onont>t color=#208000>toont color=#208000>onont>t> thy broont color=#208000>theont>r, ont color=#208000>andont> ont color=#208000>theont>n come ont color=#208000>andont> offer thy gift. |
| 25 Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in ont color=#208000>theont> way with him; lest at any time ont color=#208000>theont> adversary deliver ont color=#208000>theont>e ont color=#208000>onont>t color=#208000>toont color=#208000>onont>t> ont color=#208000>theont> judge, ont color=#208000>andont> ont color=#208000>theont> judge deliver ont color=#208000>theont>e ont color=#208000>onont>t color=#208000>toont color=#208000>onont>t> ont color=#208000>theont> officer, ont color=#208000>andont> thou be cast inont color=#208000>onont>t color=#208000>toont color=#208000>onont>t> prisont color=#208000>onont>. |

| 27 Ye have heard that it was said by ont color=#208000>theont>m of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: |
| 28 But I say unont color=#208000>onont>t color=#208000>toont color=#208000>onont>t> you, That whosoever looketh ont color=#208000>onont> a woman ont color=#208000>onont>t color=#208000>toont color=#208000>onont>t> lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. |
| 29 ont color=#208000>Andont> if thy right eye offend ont color=#208000>theont>e, pluck it out, ont color=#208000>andont> cast it from ont color=#208000>theont>e: for it is profitable for ont color=#208000>theont>e that ont color=#208000>onont>e of thy members should perish, ont color=#208000>andont> not that thy whole body should be cast inont color=#208000>onont>t color=#208000>toont color=#208000>onont>t> hell. |
| 30 ont color=#208000>Andont> if thy right hont color=#208000>andont> offend ont color=#208000>theont>e, cut it off, ont color=#208000>andont> cast it from ont color=#208000>theont>e: for it is profitable for ont color=#208000>theont>e that ont color=#208000>onont>e of thy members should perish, ont color=#208000>andont> not that thy whole body should be cast inont color=#208000>onont>t color=#208000>toont color=#208000>onont>t> hell. |
| 31 It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement: |
| 32 But I say unont color=#208000>onont>t color=#208000>toont color=#208000>onont>t> you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for ont color=#208000>theont> cause of fornicationt color=#208000>onont>, causeth her ont color=#208000>onont>t color=#208000>toont color=#208000>onont>t> commit adultery: ont color=#208000>andont> whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery. |
| 33 Again, ye have heard that it hath been said by ont color=#208000>theont>m of old time, Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unont color=#208000>onont>t color=#208000>toont color=#208000>onont>t> ont color=#208000>theont> Lord thine oaths: |
| 34 But I say unont color=#208000>onont>t color=#208000>toont color=#208000>onont>t> you, Swear not at all; neiont color=#208000>theont>r by heaven; for it is God's thront color=#208000>onont>e: |
| 35 Nor by ont color=#208000>theont> earth; for it is his footsont color=#208000>onont>t color=#208000>toont color=#208000>onont>t>ol: neiont color=#208000>theont>r by Jerusalem; for it is ont color=#208000>theont> city of ont color=#208000>theont> great King. |
| 36 Neiont color=#208000>theont>r shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make ont color=#208000>onont>e hair white or black. |
| 37 But let your communicationt color=#208000>onont> be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than ont color=#208000>theont>se cometh of ont color=#208000>evilont>. |
| 38 Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, ont color=#208000>andont> a ont color=#208000>onont>t color=#208000>toont color=#208000>onont>t>oth for a ont color=#208000>onont>t color=#208000>toont color=#208000>onont>t>oth: |
| 39 But I say unont color=#208000>onont>t color=#208000>toont color=#208000>onont>t> you, That ye resist not ont color=#208000>evilont>: but whosoever shall smite ont color=#208000>theont>e ont color=#208000>onont> thy right cheek, turn ont color=#208000>onont>t color=#208000>toont color=#208000>onont>t> him ont color=#208000>theont> oont color=#208000>theont>r also. |
| 40 ont color=#208000>Andont> if any man will sue ont color=#208000>theont>e at ont color=#208000>theont> law, ont color=#208000>andont> take away thy coat, let him have thy cloak also. |
| 41 ont color=#208000>Andont> whosoever shall compel ont color=#208000>theont>e ont color=#208000>onont>t color=#208000>toont color=#208000>onont>t> go a mile, go with him twain. |
| 42 Give ont color=#208000>onont>t color=#208000>toont color=#208000>onont>t> him that asketh ont color=#208000>theont>e, ont color=#208000>andont> from him that would borrow of ont color=#208000>theont>e turn not thou away. |
| 43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, ont color=#208000>andont> hate thine enemy. |
| 44 But I say unont color=#208000>onont>t color=#208000>toont color=#208000>onont>t> you, Love your enemies, bless ont color=#208000>theont>m that curse you, do good ont color=#208000>onont>t color=#208000>toont color=#208000>onont>t> ont color=#208000>theont>m that hate you, ont color=#208000>andont> pray for ont color=#208000>theont>m which despitefully use you, ont color=#208000>andont> persecute you; |
| 45 That ye may be ont color=#208000>theont> children of your Faont color=#208000>theont>r which is in heaven: for he maketh his ont color=#208000>onont>t color=#208000>sunont color=#208000>onont>t> ont color=#208000>onont>t color=#208000>toont color=#208000>onont>t> ont color=#208000>onont>t color=#208000>riseont color=#208000>onont>t> ont color=#208000>onont> ont color=#208000>theont> ont color=#208000>evilont> ont color=#208000>andont> ont color=#208000>onont> ont color=#208000>theont> good, ont color=#208000>andont> sendeth rain ont color=#208000>onont> ont color=#208000>theont> just ont color=#208000>andont> ont color=#208000>onont> ont color=#208000>theont> unjust. |
| 46 For if ye love ont color=#208000>theont>m which love you, what reward have ye? do not even ont color=#208000>theont> publicans ont color=#208000>theont> same? |
| 47 ont color=#208000>Andont> if ye salute your brethren ont color=#208000>onont>ly, what do ye more than oont color=#208000>theont>rs? do not even ont color=#208000>theont> publicans so? |
| 48 Be ye ont color=#208000>theont>refore perfect, even as your Faont color=#208000>theont>r which is in heaven is perfect. |
